EXCLUSIVE: Offbeat star Shira Haas and Stephen Graham lead Netflix’s gripping graphic novel adaptation Bodies, starring alongside Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (Queen Gambit), Kyle Soller (Legacy) and Amaka Okafor (Responder).
Graham plays Elias Mannix, the central character of the story, while Haas, who played Shtisel, plays one of the investigating officers, DC Maplewood.
In February, Deadline revealed Paul Tomalin’s eight-part Bodies , a UK crime thriller adaptation of Si Spencer’s graphic novel, in which four different detectives attempt to solve murders in different time periods in London.
Fortune-Lloyd plays DS Whiteman, Okafor is DS Hasan and Soller is DI Hillinghead.
Star of Line of Duty and The Irishman, Graham has established a reputation as one of Britain’s most acclaimed actors and was most recently nominated for a BAFTA for his performance in BBC drama Time and won as an executive producer for series one.
Israeli star Haas directed Netflix’s Unorthodox, for which he was nominated for an Emmy, and is also directing a Golda Meir TV biopic produced by Barbara Streisand.
The Pursuit of Love is produced by Moonage Pictures producing Bodies and the show is created by No Offense and Torchwood writer Tomalin. Beat director Marco Kreutzpaintner will direct further episodes directed by Haolu Wang. Danusia Samal co-writes with Tomalin. Tomalin also produces with Kreutzpaintner and Moonage Founders Gould and Tipady. The series is produced by Susie Liggat.
