Amazon Prime Video Slate is always one that packs many strokes. Lately, Amazon Prime Video has become ballistic in their Indian content. We are certainly not complaining. After all, with the success of shows like Pataal Lok and recently the new season of Panchayat, it’s abundantly clear that stories from the hinterland work best – those that are relatable, humorous and also feel-good. The new shows in July on Amazon Prime Video pack a whole lot with local titles pushing into place with international biggies.

1. The Terminal List — July 1
What happens when you return home after a grueling battle against alien forces only to discover that your home is not the safest place either? This role is repeated by Chris Pratt, who plays a Navy SEAL and must prioritize the safety of his family above all others. It’s one of the most anticipated thrillers and new shows on Amazon Prime Video.
2. Samrat Prithviraj — July 1
Based on the life of the brave king Samrat Prithviraj, this powerful action film seeks to shed light on the forgotten hero of history. In the film, which also plays Sanjay Dutt and the debut performance of Manushi Chillar, the king puts a brave front against Muhammad Ghori.
3. Bang Bang Baby — July 1
Set in Milan in the 1980s, the teenage girl Alice, who is quite shy, ends up being part of the criminal world in Milan when she discovers that her father, who she thought was dead, is actually involved in a criminal organization. 4. The Boys — July 7

5. Critical Keerthanegalu — July 12
One of the reviewers described it as the perfect entertainer if you are looking for a candy floss, light-hearted comedian. That’s exactly what this movie is meant to do – there are no deaths, nothing tragic, just a bunch of adults having fun. 6. Jayanthi — July 12
Translated to “birthday” in marathi, this movie is a classic bad boy meets a good girl love story. The bad boy here is a henchman for the local goon who makes him do all the dirty work. But life takes a pleasant turn for him as he falls in love with a woman who will straighten things out for him and show him the way to the world beyond weapons and nonsense.
7. Express S1 — July 14
Often, trauma changes us. Either it makes us forever vulnerable to the forces of nature, or it makes us a hard cookie. In the first season of the show, we will follow Barbara as she forms a team of people to make sure no one has to endure the kind of trauma that she did.
8. Modern Love Hyderabad — July 15
The Mumbai version of the Modern Love series, adapted from a column by The New York Times, proved to be a roaring success for Amazon Prime Video – with praise for the diversity of stories and achievements of all its actors. In the Hyderbad version, we will again have six stories of love and heartache and everything in between.
9. Anything’s Possible — July 22
Directed by Billy Porter of Pose Fame and written by Ximena García Lecuona, this Amazon original tracks the life of Kelsa, a confident high school girl who is trans while navigating through senior year – which of course includes falling in love, small fights and always being on the edge, always navigate the eddy current of emotions and hormones.
10. La Unidad — July 26
For fans of Money Heist, Sicario and Breaking Bad, this show is a pleasure as it follows an unintentional arrest of Spain’s most wanted criminal. But this is where the show begins, as his arrest sets in motion a dangerous series of events as the entire country is trapped in the crossfire.
11. Paper Girls — July 29
Based on the comic book of the same name written by Brian K. Vaughan, this Amazon Original follows four, seemingly ordinary girls, who only deliver newspapers every morning. But life suddenly becomes adventurous when they cross paths with time travelers – also finding out their own future versions and whether they can change their present.
