It’s time to paint, wrap baskets, fuse glass, sew and generally enjoy the art.

“It’s not about beautiful pictures. It’s about finding your voice through art,” according to YMCA Arts Material.

Students of all ages and skill levels can enjoy art thanks to a partnership between the Warren County YMCA and the Allegheny Community Center and Experience Inc.

According to YMCA Marketing Coordinator and Art Master Kim Slocum, “there are classes for youth, adults and people with disabilities and special needs.”

There are a number of art classes for youth, fiberglass art classes for teens, and five-week art classes for adults.

On Thursday, a group of young students enjoyed the weather – and got a great view on their topic. Students worked in the Breeze Point Gazebo, painting landscapes including the Veterans Memorial Bridge and Hickory Street.
