The United States continues to support Ukraine’s brave defenders with additional military aid to help them protect their country.

According to the president’s delegation, I am authorizing today our 24th payment of US arms and equipment to Ukraine from August 2021. This payment of $ 275 million includes additional armaments, ammunition and equipment from US Department of Defense supplies. This decline will bring total US military aid to Ukraine to an unprecedented level of more than $ 18.5 billion since the administration began.

The United States will continue to support more than 50 allies and partners of the Ukrainian people who defend their freedom and independence with remarkable courage and boundless determination. We are also working to provide Ukraine with the air defense capabilities it needs with two initially US-supplied NASAMS ready to be delivered to Ukraine next month, and working with allies and partners to enable their own air defense systems to be delivered to Ukraine. The capabilities we offer are carefully calibrated to make the greatest difference on the battlefield of today’s Ukraine.
