The United States will continue to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to defend itself, including advanced air defense systems.

The relevant statement was made by United States President Joseph Biden in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a Ukrinform correspondent reported, referring to the White House.

“President Biden pledged to continue to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to defend itself, including advanced air defense systems,” the report said.

Biden expressed his condemnation of the Russian missile attacks across Ukraine, including in Kyiv, and offered his condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured in this senseless attack.

According to the White House, Biden also underscored his continued engagement with allies and partners to continue to impose costs on Russia, hold Russia accountable for its war crimes and atrocities, and provide Ukraine with security, economic and humanitarian assistance.
