Armed man killed after attempting to break into the Cincinnati FBI office on August 11

Cincinnati: An armed man who tried to break into the Cincinnati FBI office was shot and killed by police on Thursday afternoon. The identity of the accused has not yet been established. The male motive is also unknown.

The man was shot at around 15:00 local time after an hour’s stopover. The development was confirmed by the Ohio Highway patrol. Apparently the man was wearing a bulletproof vest. The accused fled the place after trying to break into the office.

He was chased on the highway. The accused then abandoned his car on nearby country roads bordering forests and farmland just off I-71, about 45 miles (72 kilometers) northeast of Cincinnati, the Associated Press reports.

The incident happened when officials warned of rising threats against federal agents following a search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. According to officials, the man tried to break into the visitor control zone at the FBI office.

He fled the place after confronting agents. The man exchanged fire with the police. The accused reportedly suffered multiple injuries during the shooting. No policeman was hurt.

It’s worth noting that on August 9, the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. The former US president said agents broke into the safe. The raids were part of an investigation into whether he had taken a classified file from the White House to his Florida mansion.
