Dogs that eat large amounts of bait can experience stomach upset, but there are no long-term health effects. If adults or children come in contact with the bait, clean the contact area immediately with warm soapy water.
Rabies is a serious public health concern. Although rabies is almost always fatal when symptoms appear, it is also 100% preventable. Human reactions can be successfully treated if medical attention is sought soon after exposure.
