COLUMBIA, SC – Nick Kistler has been appointed general manager of Gamecock Sports Properties as announced today by LEARFIELD, the multimedia athletics rights holder for the University of South Carolina.

Kistler brings more than 15 years of sports marketing, sponsorship and sales experience to the LEARFIELD team in Columbia. This marks a promotion for Kistler, who most recently served three years as associate general manager for Gamecock Sports Properties. In the general manager position, he will continue to work closely with the athletic administration and Athletic Director Ray Tanner on all aspects of the general rights relationship.

“Gamecock Sports Properties is a valued and trusted partner in our athletics department, and we are thrilled to see Nick promoted to the position of general manager. We are confident that he will do a great job, and he is a great ambassador for our university,” Tanner said.

Prior to his move to South Carolina, Kistler was senior account executive, corporate partnerships for MLB’s Baltimore Orioles. He also served on the respective universities’ multimedia rights teams representing Clemson and Southern Mississippi. Kistler is an East Carolina University alumnus with a sports and recreation management degree.
