The Norfolk Admirals scored two goals less than a minute apart in the second period en route to a 3-1 victory over the Maine Mariners in an ECHL game in Norfolk, Virginia on Friday.

Maine took a 1-0 lead when Tim Doherty scored on Nick Jermain early in the second period. Norfolk responded later in the period with goals from Aidan Brown and Tag Bertuzzi to take a 2-1 lead.

Eric Cooley added an empty netter for Norfolk.

NASCAR CUP SERIES: Alex Bowman will return to the NASCAR season finale after missing five races due to a concussion suffered in a crash in the new Next Gen car.
