OL Reign today announced a multi-year deal with Starfire Sports. The building will serve as the club’s training ground from February 2023.

“This move is a huge step for us and we are excited to call Starfire home and partner with them to support the community,” said OL Reign CEO Vincent Berthillot. “With this season’s move to Lumen Field, our priority has been to secure a state-of-the-art training facility close to our new home to support our club, its world-class players and overall operations as we continue to grow.”

Starfire Sports is an exceptional soccer campus located in Tukwila, Washington, 12 miles from Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. Launched in 2003, the 54-acre soccer facility currently includes five grass sports fields, eight lighted artificial turf sports fields, two quality indoor soccer fields and a flex space. Starfire fosters community support and builds on its vision to create a thriving community that ensures equal opportunity and access for all by offering inclusive youth soccer and STEM education programs in addition to adult leagues and events. Now home to Seattle Sounders FC until the club moves to Longacres; the campus features an 85,000-square-foot fitness center that includes locker rooms, restaurants, retail and fitness centers.

OL Reign will have exclusive access to top-quality practice fields and locker rooms, including additional space for operations and media facilities. Starfire also gives the club additional court space for the OL Reign Academy to create more accessible playing opportunities for the next generation and beyond.

“We are very excited to partner with OL Reign and welcome Team Starfire home!” said Ben Oliver, President and CEO of Starfire Sports. “Partnering with the OL Reign is a great opportunity for our community, and especially our kids, to witness these world-class athletes and promote the soccer experience here and in the greater Seattle area that we serve.”

“I would like to welcome the OL Reign, its players, coaches and fans to the Tukwila community,” said Tukwila Mayor Allan Ekberg. “Starfire and the City of Tukwila have laid out a bold vision to be the epicenter of soccer in the Pacific Northwest. The selection of the OL Reign in Starfire shows that vision is becoming a reality.

As of 2019, the OL Reign has operated and trained in Tacoma, Washington.

“I would like to thank the City of Tacoma and the Tacoma Rainiers for their partnership over the past three years in providing our club with a home base for our practices and operations,” said Berthillot. “We are forever grateful for the tremendous support we have received from the local community. The relationships formed there will always hold a special place in the club’s history and will remain an important part of the OL Reign family as part of our commitment to the region.
