WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) -Watertown Rapids returned home to the Alex Duffy Fair on Sunday afternoon to host a Boonville East Division PGCBL game.

The Rapids are looking for their fourth consecutive win and are looking to stay unbeaten in July.

At the top of the 3rd, the game tied for 3 when Zach Crampton got all this donation from Derek Goutremout and put it on the wall of the left field for 3 homerun runs, Boonville going 6-3.

The Rapids respond in the 3rd episode as Owen Parliment hits a chopper who sneaks in to hit him. Elvis Lopez scored while the Rapids went 6-4.

The bottom 4 Rapids were looking to get things going but Brett Myers shot in the middle left Ryan Rifenberg.

Sean Crowley would come to the aid of Goutremout and close the Boonville bat, go 4 innings and allow 1 to run in 5 hits.

But the Rapids will fall to Boonville 10-7 to end their 3-game winning streak.

The English Premier League kicks off on Saturday night at Watertown Red and Black, traveling to Glens Falls for the opening of their season-long relegation season with the Red and Black winning 38-8.

The red and black offense looks picking up where they left off last season.

In 2021, the Watertown Red and Black offense scored 126 points in total and scored 21 touchdowns.

The team ran 1,179 yards and got 997 yards in the air for 2,176 yards in total.

Red and Black attacking coordinator Jerry Levine said the team this year is talented and deep in every position.

“Professional positions. I think we were just surprised. We go 7 deep into the receiver and to be able to move Kalon Jeter, MVP quarterback, outside the receiver is just amazing our offense, our system. We will do 5 wide, 4 wide, so we are very, very good at professional positions. We have a deep, which is good and o-line, guys have appeared. We also have good numbers there and we are trying to get 5, 6 smart men, ”said Watertown Red and Black Red Coordination Coordinator Jerry Levine.

Jason Williams will be the mainstay of Red and Black this season.

Williams has played five games and made one start for Red and Black in 2021, 19 in 48 yards out of 322 and 2 touchdowns in those competitions.

While the numbers didn’t jump on the bandwagon, Williams joined the team late and impressed the coaches with his hand cannon.

“Yeah, I feel confident about the season. We used to learn every day about work, performance, and it will be a fun time. Very early last year. It was a little late last season, we didn’t get any rehearsals. But this season I’m still learning a lot and I’m improving, I think I’m moving forward, “said Jason Williams, Watertown Red and Black Quarterback.

One of Williams’ main targets this season should be wide receiver Keegan Queior, who was the team’s 2nd with 239 yards and a touchdown.

Queior has Williams’ arm, a balanced running attack and a solid attack, and Red and Black offense can lighten the points this season.

“The offense will be special. We have a lot of weapons, a lot of speed, so I’m looking forward to it. Just our versatility, honestly. Our diversity. We can control the ball, we can pass the ball, we got four- good midfield, good lineup, ”said Queior.

Levine said that with so many returning players in attack, the team is ahead of the offensive line as the season draws to a close.

“Really. We are working on things we are working on in the last week of the season to start the season. So we were cleaning up. We are with a lot of things we did last year we just cleaned up, added a little, changed a little here and there. But the main thing is to get more staff put in the right places, ”Levine said.

Levine’s first test of his guilt comes on Saturday night.
