Notre Dame made a strong start recently on the night of recruiting Wednesday night, when four-star host Cam Williams committed himself to Fighting Irish live on CBS Sports HQ. Williams is considered the 111th overall player in the 2024 team and the 19th overall player in his team, according to the 247Sports Composite. His commitment only confirms Notre Dame’s arrest before No. 1 In the 2024 group hiring team.
Williams is Notre Dame’s fifth team commitment and second pass scorer to join the team since five-star quarterback CJ Carr set for June 9. Four-star Jack Larsen decided last week, when Fighting Irish began building around Carr’s future. As a sophomore at Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois during 2021, Williams held 37 yards for 671 yards and 11 touchdowns.

I am a big fan of this wide-ranging recipient and I believe he will improve as he adds strength over the next few years. In fact, I intend to gamble that he will rise to the Top 100 in time. Williams is very light on his feet, he quickly gets off the snap at foot speed on his tracks. With those prominent legs, Williams has a stop-on-a-dime ability to help create divisions. And it is a standing ovation because of his immediate urgency. Now he is very weak. And while it is not an uncommon feature in his area, once he is strong, his game should start. It is worth noting that Williams went to the Irish Invasion where he made contact with CJ Carr. And this could grow into an important alliance as the Irish seek to find quality recipients in the 2024 category.
