LAHORE: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said Imran Khan’s politics will be eliminated in partial polls on July 17.
Speaking at a campaign rally at PP-158, Dharampura on Sunday, she said that the people of Punjab will vote for the development of Punjab in the by-election and eliminate the PTI chairman’s policy from the province.
Criticizing the former prime minister, she claimed he was running the country on crutches (the establishment) and that his government fell the day those crutches were taken away. She said Khan was the first politician to appeal to “neutrals” to bring him back to power because his ouster had disturbed him mentally.
Maryam said the PTI president repeatedly urged people to take to the streets against the incumbent government, but no one paid attention to his calls for protest.
Referring to the leaked alleged audio call from Imran’s wife, Bushra Bibi, the PML-N leader said she was ordering the social media team to label those as traitors who speak against her or the corruption of Farah Khan. She alleged that during PTI’s tenure in government, Farah Khan (Farhat Shehzadi) and Imran Khan’s stepsons became billionaires while the masses became impoverished.
