Lower prices for commodities such as wheat or maize are set to slow the rise in food prices, easing pressure on the world’s biggest driver of inflation.
But economists warn that it will be too early to declare victory. Agricultural markets remain volatile and the ongoing war in Ukraine, combined with hot and dry weather in Europe and parts of the U.S., could bring new impacts to food supplies.
