The Arts Celebration lasts for four days bringing the Sheridan region art community together to showcase their talents and highlight talented artists in various mediums and performances. The celebration of art and culture at Sheridan includes live music, dance, art and literary events.

SAGE Community Arts Executive Director and Arts Celebration chair Jill Benson spoke on the evolution of the celebration while appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse.

The festival includes arts and shows from WYO Theatre, Sheridan College, Ucross, The Brinton and SAGE Community Arts.

The full 2022 Celebration of the Arts timetable:

Noon: Reading and Q&A with award-winning author and Ucross Fellow Brandon Hobson at Kooi Library at Sheridan College. Includes light refreshments. Free and open to the public.

5-7 p.m. Art Alley, hosted by SAGE Community Arts on Brundage Street in downtown Sheridan. Featuring artisan booths, organizing booths, art displays and artist meet-and-greets. Free and open to the public.

3:30-5 p.m. Afro-Latin Music Master Class with John Roberts y Pan Blanco in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts at Sheridan College. Free and open to the public.

6-7:30 p.m. Artist Quickdraw Bighorn Rendezvous Meet and Greet at the Brinton Museum. Free and open to the public.

7:30 p.m. A concert with Lynda Kay at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Centre. Tickets available at wyotheater.com.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bighorn Rendezvous Quick Drawing at the Brinton Museum. Free and open to the public.

4:30-5:30 p.m. Salsa Dance Class in Choir Room W129 in the Whitney Center for the Arts at Sheridan College. Free and open to the public.

6-9 p.m. Quickdraw Bighorn Rendezvous Art Auction and Luncheon at the Brinton Museum. Tickets available at thebrintonmuseum.org.

7 p.m. A concert with John Roberts y Pan Blanco in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts at Sheridan College. Tickets available at sheridan.edu.

4 p.m. Ucross Arts Festival with a performance by Jalan Crossland, a reading by Brandon Hobson and an art donation of a piece commissioned by Savannah LeCornu at The Park at Ucross. Crossland, Hobson and LeCornu are all Ucross alumni. There are a limited number of free GA tickets; VIP tickets are available for a pre-show reception with artist meet and greets, refreshments and more. Tickets available at ucross.org.
