Professional artists help and develop a vibrant, creative community that inspires, strengthens, and stimulates the prosperity of residents and visitors alike. The Hillsborough County Arts Council is supporting the important contributions of these creative individuals to the cultural revitalization of Hillsborough County through the Arts Professional Development (PDA) Grants Program. The annual program provides grants of up to $2,000 to emerging or established artists in a variety of disciplines to participate in professional development experiences or to purchase equipment essential to the development of an artist’s career.

Applications for the 2023 funding period will be accepted through the online grant system until 5pm on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Artists must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Funded projects must take place between Jan. 1, 2023, and Aug. 15, 2023. All eligible applications will be reviewed and evaluated by members of the Arts Council Advisory Committee, with grants awarded from the highest scoring application to the end of annual program funding.
