The upcoming Haverhill Multicultural Festival is conceived as a community event where neighbors will get to know each other through different music, dance, food and crafts.
The Multicultural Festival takes place on Saturday 6 August, from noon to 6pm, at GAR Park in downtown Haverhill.
The musical performances come from Be Imagine Music Studios, Rainbow Catalyst, The Resistance, Grupo Fantasia, Female Mariachi Band by Veronica Robles and afro-pop jazz and Mozambique via Berklee with Albino Mbie.
There are dances with Dulce Essencia, Zumba with Rise Movement Studios and dance shows from Move ‘n’ Vibes with Samba Divas and Kizomba with Inna and Lucky.
Food options include Italian from Carbone’s Kitchen, Hispanic from La Frontera Sabrosa, Korean from Sun Kim Bop, and Nigerian from Goodie Krunch. Hummus and Sonny Boy Ice Cream from L’Arche Boston North will also be available.
Vendors also offer African clothing, homemade jewelry and pillows, couture clothing, skin care products, wooden designs, and candles. The Buttonwoods Museum and Haverhill Public Library will also feature on-site exhibits.
