It is no surprise that unprecedented growth is expected for the enrollment of the Art School in DAAP.

Under the strategic leadership of Director Kate Bonansinga, the School of Art has been around during her tenure with the strong support of the arts and crafts department.
The combination of a number of important events and initiatives has led to an X% increase in the number of students arriving this fall, both in undergraduate and graduate programs including Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA) , the Master. of Arts in Art Education (MAAE).
Student participation plays an important role in the establishment. Through the DAAP Representative program, prospective students get a tour of college through the lens of a current student. Having the right agent can have a huge impact not only on where the student is going to work, but also on the type of program. The Art School has been fortunate to have inspiring ambassadors selected to contribute to the DAAP enrollment process.

In 2020, the DAAP Studio Annex opened directly from the street from the college. This dedicated site gives graduates of Master of Fine Arts and Master of Arts in Art Education the opportunity to acquire studios and research for transdisciplinary students.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts program is one of the BFA programs in the country that requires cooperative learning, or collaboration. While other universities and colleges may strongly encourage students to participate in workshops, our program has co-ops that are integrated into the curriculum. In 2015, with the help of the Office of Experiential Learning and Career Opportunities, the first group of students entered their first internship revolution. Since its inception, Fine Arts students participate in three (3) learning opportunities.

The incredible success the UC Bearcats football team enjoyed last season was unlike any other. Well-deserved media coverage put the University of Cincinnati on the national stage where the prospective student pool has grown exponentially. This new look gave UC the ability to showcase its many attributes to a wider audience who are not familiar with the university.
Through a series of fortunate events and strategic planning led by Kate Bonansinga, a dedicated faculty, and staff, the School of Art has experienced tremendous success over the past decade. It is no surprise that the fall of the incoming class of 2022 Fine Arts students is the largest. DAAP is excited to witness the academic and professional growth of these outstanding students.
