WATERBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – The Waterbury Arts Festival is in full swing. The free event celebrates art, music and community. The Channel 3 people he spoke to are from as far away as Florida.
The festival includes food, music, children’s events and more. This is the first year it has fully returned from 2019.
“It’s very fun. It’s beautiful. The weather here could have been better, “said Terry Trail, a resident of Waterbury.
All events are free, but donations are still being received for Waterbury Restoration. The organisation’s executive director, Karen Nevin, says it is the only fundraising event they are holding. He says they hope to bring in $ 20,000 this week.
“We are making economic improvements. We support our businesses in the city. We care about what our cities look like, so we put flowers and flags on top, ”Nevin told us. “We are elevating our town. We want people to come and see how wonderful it is. ”
All the actors are from Vermont, including Friday actors, Reid Parsons and Grift.
“I think it’s great what this organization is doing and giving back to the community,” said David Star of New York. In Vermont he visited his son and grandson, David and Levi.
“I went to the wine and beer tent. I got to dinner, there’s Ben and Jerry. It looks like it will be a wonderful time,” said Brenda Schill, a Vermont native from Fort Myers, Florida.
The event continues throughout the day on Saturday in the grass behind the train station. In addition to musical performances, artists and artists will be on hand to showcase and market their work.
