As Amazon Prime Day 2022 is next week, now is the best time of the year to take advantage of Amazon Prime’s 30-day free trial, as it not only lets you shop the bargains during the super sale, but also gives you a month of Prime Video viewing for nothing.
And, trust me, in 30 days you’ll be able to watch a lot of the best Amazon Prime Video content. I know, because I did.
It’s really a win-win, because once you’ve taken advantage of the best deals on Prime Day next week, you can then watch the best Prime Video exclusives, all before you simply cancel the subscription a day before its renewal. Great deals and free streaming content, what’s not to love?
But what to watch in your free 30-day Prime Video window? Here are my recommendations for 3 great Amazon Prime Video TV shows you should have on your watchlist.

1. The Boys
We’re currently in the third season of The Boys, which takes the idea of what if superheroes were actually real, and many of them were terrible people, to a level of bloody, satirical fun. Think Watchmen, but way funnier and with way more heart, blood and guts.
The show begins Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, the leader of a group bent on taking down corrupt, selfish, egotistical and – at times – just plain evil “supes”, but there’s a great cast of lesser-known names too.
Well worth a watch, but with a rating of 18 it’s an adults only challenge.
2. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel follows the life and times of New York housewife turned stand-up comedian Midge Maisel (played by Rachel Brosnahan). Originally set in the 1950s and now the early 1960s, this comedy-drama has won universal acclaim across the board with its excellent blend of drama, laughs, and period detail.
All four seasons that have been filmed so far are now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video and a fifth (and final) season has also been ordered, so there really isn’t a better time to get started. On the same subject : Instead of numbers, Netflix should focus on quality, like Hulu. If you got Prime Video free for 30 days, you could literally consume hours of Marvelous Mrs Maisel content.
Worth a visit, especially if you’re a fan of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s previous TV show, the Gilmore Girls.
3. The Legend of Vox Machina
T3 previously wrote about this animated Amazon Prime Video exclusive, which has a perfect 100% review score on Rotten Tomatoes. This may interest you : Everything New on Amazon Prime Video in July 2022.
The show is based in the world of D&D and many of the main characters are voiced by Critical Role cast members, who are seasoned actors, which means that the characters in this show are very well voiced, which adds a gravity not present in others. entertainment.
It’s not the classiest of shows, but the entertainment value is out of this world, with each episode filled with gore, guts and jokes and mature visuals. It’s certainly binge-worthy, too, due to the half-hour length of each episode.
Perfect for Friday nights, basically. And, with season two already ordered, it’s the perfect time to catch up.
