Twelve Tulsa arts and culture organizations, ranging from the nationally recognized Philbrook Art Museum to the TATE award-winning Theater North, will share $ 150,000 in grants through the city’s Visual Arts program.

The program was established six years ago, as part of the Vision economic development package approved by Tulsa voters in April 2016.

Vision Arts supports organizations and activities that provide quality arts and cultural programs to Tulsa citizens while at the same time promoting and promoting tourism and economic development throughout the city.

Those applying for grants should set out as their proposal – whether for a particular activity, project, or art work, or a series of mixed events – will promote cultural tourism or have an economic impact in Tulsa.

City Council Chair Lori Decter Wright, along with councilor Crista Patrick who was part of the Tulsa Art Committee’s support committee in the proposal review process, said, “We live in a community that loves the art of promoting different types of art. , that she supports artists and strives to make Tulsa creative.

East Tulsa Main Street, dba Tulsa Global District: $ 15,000

Kendall Whittier Main Street, Inc .: $ 15,000
