Welcome back to the Top 10 Favorite Video Games All-Team Countdown.
With this retreat, me and Jon Johnston will be counting our 10 favorite video games of all time. The retreat can be found in the 10th place link, but you thought you could tell, Jon and I as adults played different video games when I grew up in the greatest era of all time and Jon grew up in a different one.

Nate’s 7th Place Game – Mega Man 3
My first choice from the amazing NES era of video games and Mega Man 3. I sometimes feel sorry for the youth now in video. This past week I played Star Wars Battlefront with my son and he had a good time. To think that the introduction of his youth and video games was with games such as Battlefront or Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4.
The comparative complexity of the game was compared to the games I played at a crazy age to think about. To see also : Is Where the Crawdads Sing on Amazon?.
I never ended up owning Mega Man 3. But what I did was rent it almost every weekend. That’s something else that is not understood by these kids. There are businesses that you are going to take and you can walk in the hallway and watch all these types of movies and video games that you can rent for 2-3 days or more.
Show on Friday night and play the crap out of the game until it drops out on Monday morning. Then you show up next Friday and do it all over again.
I remember blowing on the cartridge for the first time and playing only to know that I now received a crime partner on a dog whose name is Rush.
The best part of this type of game is that it looks simple but you have to play it a lot to calculate the rhythm and strategy to go through the game.
Jon’s 7th Place Game – Star Wars Battlefront 2
I’m talking about Star Wars Battlefront 2 on the PS2. To see also : Netflix ranks last among streamers by perceived value – but it’s still the number 1 service you must have, poll finds (EXCLUSIVE). Released in 2005, it may have been one of the first games where me and at least two of my boys gathered to spend tons of crap hours playing games.
I had to search for this game on YouTube because I don’t remember at all. I asked my daughter what game would he choose as a GAME that made him last upset and this was who he chose. We talked about it a bit, and we agreed about how much fun it was.
I thought he would choose Backyard Baseball, which was released in 1997. I remember the game very well, and it was a lot of fun. My oldest son played it a lot, and I’m going to put it here until the daughter went to Battlefront.
It was only a game that was very enjoyable before the successor came and ruined part of the game forever. I’m excited when a more recent version of Battlefront 2 is released, but, it’s horrible. It’s a piece of garbage I told myself I would never pre-order a game again, and I didn’t.
The second Battlefront was horrid as well due to the loot box; the first Battlefront you can play without having to wonder about grinding away to earn some ridiculous boxes that include shiny new shoes or some other completely damned worthless thing.
So many games now require grinding. You need to dedicate your life to the game in order to be successful, especially if you are playing with or against other people online. Games such as Destiny 2, Division 2 (which I like and still play, but alone) require you to spend hours to keep using weapons and gear.
I don’t like that. Sometimes I want to take a 15 minute break from work and kill fake enemies online. Game companies already know how to eliminate that concept and make games such as social media, where it’s an addiction that needs to be eaten.
Join a clan. Continue the attack that requires eight people to wield the best weapons, because without them you will be destroyed in five seconds in PVP. I get to a point, but more and more I am playing games that do not require an element of online participation.
Battlefront II on the PS2 allowed for a number of options for gaming. You have “Instant Action”, “Galactic Conquest”, and a campaign. You choose your favorite trooper, you have to be a Jedi, Droidika, many options.
My three boys are gamers. I think I gave it to them. We don’t play together, or at least I don’t play with them online, and that’s all right. Everyone has their own taste, and there are so many types of games out there to choose from.
I always find it appealing when people MY AGE say something like this, “How can you waste that time playing video games?”
Which usually I answer, “I mean, instead of sitting like a non-thinking blob in front of the TV?”
