We are officially in the middle of 2022. Here are some new video games of the year so far that the GAMINGbible team is interested in, and we encourage you to check them out as quickly as your fingers and thumbs can carry you.
Note that the games listed below do not appear in a specific order, nor do they have a title. These are just a dozen games we really enjoyed in 2022 – and maybe you do, or you will! And no, we didn’t “miss” anything here – we saved it to 12 for space and time, ours and yours, but there are many other games we like, too. Maybe we’ll talk about those at the end of the year, huh?

Neon White is different from everything you published this year. At first glance it is a slick individual first platform set in what looks and sounds like what we think the interior of Dreamcast is. But it soon transforms into a challenging FPS – one that requires you to tie special exercise ropes, complete faith-making decisions, and skillfully place shots in an attempt to chase the highest points and cleanse the “sky” from demons. It is incredibly fast, and requires your constant attention, but memorizing every level of strategy and shortcuts and gaining Ace status is a pure nirvana game.
Oh, there is also a love sim: taking on the role of a murderer without remembering the past, you will spend your time looking for gifts for your friends from your days on Earth, with them in an effort to work. go out if they want to punch you or kill you. Anyone who says the ground is more stupid than him, because Neon White is everything, and he is one of the best players of 2022 as a result. Ewan Moore
Quarry (PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X / S)
Quarry does not shy away from the dry summer tradition, introducing the player to the cast of an interesting character without realizing that their night of hedonism is about to take a scary turn. The developer of the Supermassive Games named him as the spiritual heir to the dawn, yet there is a number of evolutionists on the game played by his predecessors.
Quarry nerves as a single player game, but it also features multiplayer mode so you can spread fear among friends. Value number and strong ways they can test you to see what happens if you choose a different order, and Easter eggs are satisfying to discover. Kirby and the Forget Land (Switch)
Kirby has long been there when it comes to the most visible Nintendo characters – 2022 is the 30th anniversary, of course. But it has never felt like every Kirby game has upgraded its character and series to the status of Mario, Metroid, or Zelda. There are some really good games, covering a lot of things of the genre, but maybe no-and-outside.
Kirby and the Forget Land should be the title, though. It deserves to be told to Kirby what Super Mario 64 did for the Nintendo mascot, and what Ocarina of Time did for the Link events across Hyrule. It’s so cute, accomplished, slick and sumptuous and an amazing gosh-darn, and it represents an essential addition to any Switch collection regardless of what you’re used to in sports. Elden Ring (PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X / S)
Perhaps the best thing to say about this exciting game is that even after tens of thousands of hours spent in The Lands Between, hundreds perhaps, you will never stop thinking about it. Your attention will continue to return to the doors that are still locked, unmarked parts of the map waiting to be explored, and heads that are still to be conquered.
Elden Ring has always been an amazing adventure that took the tested strategy of Software From software to an exciting new height. Ofaya one of the best video games of the last decade, and a full-fledged release, Elden Ring has really proved that 2022 is a fantastic start. Ewan Moore, full review here
OlliOlli World (PC, Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X / S)
The world of OlliOlli is a happy, intelligent, vibrant blue world, where your challenge is to cross your path to ‘Gnarvana’ by turning off the activities planned by your crew in a series of lessons. Your score expands upwards by combining a series of tricks – much like the Tony Hawk series – and each course contains specific tasks, from knocking down valuable animals to just meeting a NPC service provider on your way. But unlike other genres – such as the Tony Hawk games and the EA Skate series that will be back soon – you don’t need to sweat strategy as you push your skills to the next level, as the main purpose of the game is. to achieve flow conditions like zen.
OlliOlli’s sleek, satisfying world combined with stunning design and both durable and punchy tones make it a must for football fans. But beyond that audience, it is also highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a sense of flow, of dance, in their lives. Take a deep breath and, through your nose, out through your mouth… Then drop this ramp into the wild, the most amazing, and best game you will ever play in 2022. Dan Wilson, full review here
LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga (PC, Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X / S)
LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga feels like the end of decades of TT Games developers have put in the power of using the name LEGO Star Wars. Each part is built with passion and love for both story and studs. Whether this is flying the Millennium Falcon by a Jackpot Destroyed Star that crashed in Jaguar or lingered near an area on Kashyyyk for a while as the Palpatine hologram realized he needed to update his voicemail to say ‘King’ .
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the ultimate Star Wars video game experience, through which only LEGO games can be. If ever there was a Skywalker Saga: Video Game ‘right’, it would not be possible to allow players to experience all the wild wonders of space like this. The film’s accuracy doesn’t allow you to tour Hoth as a General Grievous with Yaddle and, in fact, that’s all we ever wanted. Tom Ryan-Smith, full review here
Please Fix The Way is a good way to be the main theme in one of those shorts which is usually better than the Pixar movie you saved to see. Your task, simple though it may seem like, is to guide cars, boats, trains etc. to their destination on a small piece of land. The ground is floating in a pastel setting, full of conifers or damaged by frosted rivers, and you can damage the ground, leaving debris, rough ground, but you have a limited number of these tiles or works that will you can do to solve the puzzle.
Hopefully it will be fixed The method has not re-invented the strategy, no, but there are these amazing plans that transform one game into the next game. It will split into ribbons, or open itself up like paper, or further zoom in to a small frozen island, which then enters the rest of the field. This desire, along with the trial and error of creation and destruction, will make you think that you are a God who is not difficult and bored of someone greater, the most important god made these ways with care the world. Tunic (PC, Xbox One and Series X / S, Mac, PlayStation 4 and 5 on September 27)
TLC once famously advised us not to go through the water. Fortunately, no one has ever bothered to convey this message to developer Andrew Shouldice. His latest venture, Tunic, is a video game that he knows you want to watch behind every submerged wall of grass, grass, and crumbling statue in search of treasure. And it rewards this passion on a regular basis, through a complex casino world full of endless mysteries, surprises, and revelations. It’s an amazing job indeed.
Tunic is a tribute to the love of contemporary adventure games that still manages to offer its ingenuity on an improved platform to create professional meta-game puzzles that hide major conflicts. If you can resist the urge to check your phone for help whenever you get stuck, the feeling of a slow explosion in addition to its strong number is very rewarding. Ewan Moore, full review here
Pokémon Tales: Arceus (Switch)
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a game for love. Opening locations full of Pokémon is a fun way to get inside, and they will consume hours of your time in what you feel like a few minutes. The main credit of Zelda’s content is not removed from its original form as a Pokémon game, ensuring that the change does not harm the desired name. Then you have style, beautiful music, and the joy of filling Pokédex in a world that is truly worth researching.
Depending on where the power to use the company name comes from here, hopefully they will expand this innovation. Maybe a game set in Ancient Johto, where we see the Burning Tower in ancient glory? We would like to experience every part of the Pokémon world in this way, because Pokémon Legends: Arceus has taken the series to a whole new level. James Daly, full review here
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Revenge of Shredder (PC, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
This Young Mutant Ninja Turtle: Shredder’s Revenge developed by a studio called The Tribute Games is perfect, as this is a love letter for a modern arcade game when belt-scrolling beat ’em ups crunched pocket changes like everyone else’s business. .
Shredder’s Revenge goes beyond nostalgia embellished in some 21st century pixel technology, though – it’s nice to update the design of studio studios like Konami, Capcom, SEGA et al, as well as online projects and features life of those who do this. a package not to be missed whether you are a veteran of such brawlers or a complete beginner. Whether you’re enjoying it with pals-sofa or solo, it’s a perfectly satisfying side-by-side and, essentially, professional-grade version of it; an example of how to spruce up a stylish road and a good walk already after many go-straight events. Warriors Emblem Warriors: Bege Uku (Replacement)
Warriors Emblem Warriors: Three Sights enjoy its roots more than most previous Omega Force collaborations. For example, while Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a Zelda game in terms of characters, locations and aesthetics, it doesn’t have the kind of Nintendo series it relies on. Hope Three, on the other hand, has enough of the elements in Fire Sign: Three Houses to make hours of play time feel like minutes.
And this is the best collaboration between Nintendo and Omega Force to date. Its SIM cards are well made, feel the same as the Three Homes. The hack-and-slash function is fun, with lots of characters and playstyles to choose from. In the end, the selection criteria are impressive, increasing the value of replay. Fire Fans will not want to miss this gemstone, and new entrants who will not be killed by a tactical game are all prepared for the big adventure. James Daly, full review here
Horizon Forbidden West (PlayStation 4 and 5)
Guerrilla Games ’main anticipation to the 2017 Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West is, to put it simply, a great adventure. He enjoys playing again as Aloy and exploring the apocalyptic future full of amazing machines and old ruins. Forbidden West really takes everything that has worked into the one it already took and built it in an interesting style.
It is a pleasure to explore these new lands, to have the pleasure of seeing what is below, on this hill, or on this hill. And the forbidden Western world is so big too – you can never find yourself without something new to do. You can take on rebel-held areas, complete various side missions, explore ancient ruins for historical artifacts, and much more.
