On behalf of the United States of America, I send my congratulations on July 5th, celebrating 47 years of independence.
The United States and Cape Verde share the goals of democracy, security and economic prosperity. Our relationship is over 200 years old and we hope that this relationship will only grow stronger in the next few years. The United States is proud to celebrate with Cape Verde to celebrate another year of independence.
