Long rumored to be on his way to London, Arsen Zakharyan’s potential move from Dinamo Zagreb to Chelsea has been delayed by various UEFA restrictions amid current events in Russia.
The Russian spoke on Tuesday about his future and any potential deal to move to the Premier League, albeit very vaguely.
The 19-year-old began by assuring Chelsea fans that people were working behind the scenes to find a solution to the current issues surrounding his transfer, but also mentioned he was still a Dinamo player and was preparing for the rest of their season.
“We are already resolving this with the club, agents. What and how it will be – I myself cannot say. I do not know. I am at Dynamo, I am preparing for the season.
He ended by saying he didn’t mind the constant speculation surrounding him and joking that he and rumored Chelsea arrival Joao Felix had discussed how they would both fit into the Blues front line.
“I read the news on social media every day. I’m already good with that. We have already discussed everything [concerning the transfer policy], solved the problems.
“We already discussed everything with him [Felix] – he’s on the left, I’m in the middle.”
It remains to be seen if this transfer will ever materialize, but it seems that there is still strong interest from both sides.
