After three tough duels on the road, the Chiefs finally return home to Arrowhead against a more vulnerable defense. Before playing the best defense in the NFL last week, Smith had five straight games with more than 20 DraftKings points. That low pay against the defense, who rank last in touchdowns allowed, is just disrespectful. DraftKings, it’s time to stop writing off Geno.
The elephant in the room is Henry, lining up opposite the Houston defense this week. $8,600 means you need a little over 25 DraftKings points to reach that value. Well, Henry has 38+ points against the Texans in four straight games, all with 200+ rushing yards and two or more touchdowns. Add in extra reception work without Dontrell Hilliard and it’s hard not to see another big game arrive. The craziest part? The Texans’ defense is the worst it’s ever been.
First let me say this: don’t play Chubb in cash games. However, cheer him on in tournament play. Chubb will be a contrarian play due to its higher price and lower production in recent weeks. At the end of the day, Nick Chubb is still Nick Chubb. He’s still the running back, leading all backs in big plays while ranked in the top 5 in carries and rushing touchdowns. Chubb can separate you from the pack against a Saints defense that just allowed Tyler Allgeier to run nearly 140 yards. It doesn’t hurt that the Saints have to travel to Cleveland, where the Browns starback is averaging nearly seven more points per game than he does on the road. Additionally, the weather in Cleveland appears to be terrible this weekend, giving Chubb the potential for an even heavier workload than normal.
I’m still in shock that the Patriots finally have a bell cow back, but Stevenson’s talent has set him apart from the rest. The bottom is remarkable, scoring 12+ points in 11 consecutive games completed. Yes, the Bengals have a great rushing defense. The problem for Cincinnati is that Sam Hubbard, who is the best-managed defender on the Bengals’ defensive line according to PFF scores, will miss Saturday’s game. The advantage will still be there for Rhamondre and the Patriots’ rushing offense. In addition to ground play, Matt Patricia’s penchant for screen passes is tremendous for PPR scoring, having already drafted more goals on screens for Stevenson than any running back in the NFL last season.
In a career game without Tyler Lockett, Metcalf commanded 12 goals against corner superstar Jalen Ramsey. With Lockett’s eight goals per game to win, that leaves a significant opportunity for Metcalf, who is already in the top five goals for the past month. As 10-point strays, expect plenty of passing work for the Seahawks offense as they try to catch up against a defense that provides the most touchdowns to wideouts this season.
