It’s been a while since EA Sports released a college football video game.

The NCAA Football 14 video game, which donned Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson on its cover, was the final issue and released on July 9, 2013. For home watchers, it’s 3,375 days since an officially licensed college football video game was released. released.

That wait, however, is coming to an end.

According to Matt Brown of the Extra Points Newsletter, EA Sports is targeting a July 2023 release date for the video game – leaving plenty of time for video game fans to plan their next Road to Glory character (I can offer 7-wide receiver? It’s pretty fun.)

With the release date approaching, EA Sports asked universities to submit various assets, including photos and audio, to make the game as realistic as possible.

If you’re interested in seeing what other teams have submitted to EA Sports, Brown has followed several universities. As for what Florida Atlantic is submitting to EA Sports, Owls247 acquired its asset list through a Freedom of Information Act request.

According to the documents, the FAU sent around 769 photos of the FAU Stadium to EA Sports to get an accurate scan of the stadium. If you’re wondering, this is just about every angle of the stadium you can imagine.

While the playing field is involved in the photos, photos of virtually any section of the stadium and the various assets around the stadium, including close-up images of the seats and the Delray Hyundai Deck, are also included.

The photos and approved assets don’t end there. The FAU also gave EA Sports approval to include the Howard Schnellenberger statue that stands in the stadium. With that, the FAU sent several photos of the statue and its surroundings.

The FAU also included a photo of the moke that takes the FAU team to the field and the “Defend Paradise” typhus that the student section shows when the Owls score a touchdown. The inclusion of both indicates that they should play some.

Along with the included photos, EA Sports sent teams a spreadsheet that includes audio assets, including music, for pivotal moments in the game, including pre-game innings and third down.

As expected, the FAU has approved EA Sports to use FAU’s fight music. It should come as no surprise to anyone watching FAU games, but fight music is mentioned at critical moments, including team elimination and successful field goals.

FAU has made available several videos that compose critical moments, along with the audio resources. Among these videos is the light show used at various points and the Owls Walk, where FAU players touch the Schnellenberger statue during pre-game.

Here’s the band’s audio that the FAU included:

Here are the chants from the crowd that the FAU sent:

Here are the extra notes the FAU has included:

Note: FAU has included links to most of these audio and video files.
