If we’ve learned one thing about the Ravens this season, it’s that you should never turn off any game they’re playing in, because there’s a good chance they’ll lose a big lead.
For the second time in three weeks, the Ravens appeared to have a completed victory, and for the second time in three weeks, they let that victory slip away. In Week 2, the Ravens opened up a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter against the Dolphins. This time, the Ravens opened up a 17-point lead in a wild 23-20 loss to the Bills.
It’s hard to say which loss hurts the most, but it could be the most recent because of how it happened. With 4:16 left in the game, the Ravens were facing a quarter and goal at Buffalo’s 2-yard line, and at that moment, they had the chance to attempt a field goal. However, John Harbaugh decided to go for the touchdown and the decision backfired: Lamar Jackson made an interception.
It was an interesting decision considering the Ravens offense struggled through most of the second half. Additionally, the Ravens failed to score at the one-yard line and the four-yard line in the two plays prior to the fourth down attempt.
Buffalo 23-20 over Baltimore
Overall, the Ravens’ attack did a disappearing act in the last two and a half quarters. After taking a 20-3 lead with 3:39 remaining in the second quarter, Baltimore would not score again.
Minnesota 28-25 over New Orleans in London
If Harbaugh had chosen to kick the field goal, the Ravens would have a 23-20 lead with about four minutes left, and while that doesn’t guarantee Baltimore won, you feel a lot better about your chances of winning if you have the lead. with less than four minutes to play.
Atlanta 23-20 over Cleveland
“I felt like it gave us the best chance of winning the game,” Harbaugh said after the game of his decision to go ahead. Dallas 25-10 over Washington
Unlike the loss to the Dolphins, there was definitely some visible frustration from the Ravens towards the end of this game. This may interest you : Sports Illustrated rates the Ravens offseason. Things got so bad that Marcus Peters actually went after Harbaugh to exchange words with him.
Seattle 48-45 over Detroit
It’s easy to understand why the Ravens were frustrated: their offense collapsed in the second half and their defense failed to stop the Bills in the final two quarters of the game.
Tennessee 24-17 over Indianapolis
Throughout their franchise history, the Ravens are now 101-5 in any game they’ve led by at least 17 points. The ugly part is that two of those five losses have come in the last three weeks.
L.A. Chargers 34-24 over Houston
