Michigan football has done exactly what it was meant to do in each of the first three weeks of the 2022 college football season, facing too many opponents and dominating them.
On Saturday, it was UConn‘s turn, and as a result, Wolverine won the game at half-time, eventually dragging a total of 101 players, including eight quarterbacks, seven of whom completed passes. While corn and blue won’t get much credit for beating the three worst teams in college football, that Michigan have done it so convincingly will surely endear them to coaches across the sport.
Last week, Wolverine was at No. 5 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, despite coming in at No. 4 in the AP Top 25. Will the coaches match the media this week?
Michigan ranked No. 4 heading into Week 4. Meanwhile, future opponents Ohio State and Penn State ranked third and 15th, respectively. Michigan State dropped to 21 polls after being beaten decisively by Washington.
