The Buffalo Bills and ADPRO Sports are proud to once again partner to recognize some of the best coaches West New York has to offer through the 2022 High School Football Week Coach Program.

The Bills and ADPRO Sports will award varsity football coaches with the Coach of the Week Award to highlight not only their team’s achievements on the field, but also some of the work they are doing off the field in their communities. We will announce the winners for the Buffalo and Rochester regions over 11 weeks, with the coach of the year for both regions being named during the Buffalo Bills v New England Patriots game in January 2023 at Highmark Stadium.

Each Coach of the Week winner will receive a $1,000 donation from the Buffalo Bills and ADPRO Sports. The respective Coach of the Year winners will also receive an additional $1,000 for their programs. Winners will be selected by a panel of local high school football experts.

Coach Suhr is in his third year as the Silverbacks’ coach, helping to expand the program from an 8-player soccer team to 11-on-11 soccer. One of Coach Suhr’s main goals as a coach is simply to provide an opportunity for the kids in his community to play football. In addition to his duties as a varsity football coach, Coach Suhr teaches history at Lyndonville CSD and coaches varsity wrestling.

Throughout the year, Coach Suhr organizes several fundraising events to help athletes raise money for camps and volunteers as director of a youth fight club in Lyndonville. One community organization Coach Suhr is heavily involved in is Madison Nation, a charity that raises money for families who have a child battling pediatric cancer.

To increase the game of football in his community, Coach Suhr helps run an elementary school flag football program and has also worked with local youth football programs in the past as a coach.

Coach Suhr took a number of steps to grow his Varsity program throughout the year and develop his players, including instituting anti-football protocols, hosting team-building dinners each week, building a weightlifting program. and participating in off-season football.

Rochester Region Coach of the Week # 1
