The new Replay Sports location in the former Bloom store is ready to open its doors. The batting cage and baseball skills center will hold an open house this weekend.

As The Burn first reported in June, the original Bloom store in the Piccadilly Plaza shopping center in the Belmont Greene neighborhood finally has a new tenant. Replay Sports has moved from its original location on Ashburn’s Red Rum Drive.

Approximately 30,000 s.f. the mall has been empty for more than a decade and most of the neighbors have given up on the new business that has moved in there.

For several years, the huge space was occupied by Spirit Halloween’s seasonal pop-up shops, but now all the shelves and equipment have been removed, and in their place, many nets have been hung to make bags of to beat.

Doors open Saturday, August 27 at 4 p.m. From 4 to 6 pm, all batting cages will be free. After that introductory scene, Replay Sports will be up and running and officially open.
