This fall, the Somerset Collection in Troy will be home to a new Sports & Social DraftKings location, the two companies announced Monday.
The location announcement comes more than a year after DraftKings and Live! Hospitality & Entertainment’s Sports & Social announced they would be bringing the concept to metro Detroit. It is the first location in the country for the collaborating brands, although Sports and Social has locations across the country.
“We are delighted to present the very first Sports & Social DraftKings and provide Michigan customers with our innovative mobile sportsbook app with an exciting personalized experience,” said Michael Kibort, senior director, retail sportsbooks at DraftKings, in a press release. “Thanks to the strong support of Live! Hospitality & Entertainment, we believe we have created a premier dining, sports and entertainment destination for fans to enjoy.”
At the Troy site, there will be a restaurant, full bar and entertainment for customers. Multiple sports will be viewed live on the 32-foot LED media wall and game day watch parties. Guests can access DraftKings’ mobile platforms for fantasy sports and betting on a variety of sports including football, basketball, baseball and golf from their mobile devices.

The menu, according to a press release, includes “lofty” homemade gameday favorites, cocktails, specialty drinks and beer, including local favorite brews.
There will be special food and drink events throughout the week. Brunch is offered on Saturdays and Sundays.
“We are honored that Sports & Social DraftKings has chosen to establish its first US location in Somerset Collection,” said Nate Forbes, managing partner of The Forbes Co., in a press release. “Our guests travel from all over Michigan, the Midwest and Canada to experience many of the brands exclusive to Somerset Collection, and we’re excited that this location will give them another reason to make this region a destination.”
Within the 10,400-square-foot space, according to the press release, there will be a DraftKings Lounge for private parties and events. Live music and entertainment is expected several times a week. The spot will also have a variety of games such as skeeball, hoops, Beirut, foosball, shufflepuck, and arcade games.
The Troy apartment is a self contained building next to Somerset Collection South. There will also be outdoor dining on the patio which is dog friendly and has live music.
