CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Four Panthers have been named HERO Sports FCS Preseason All-Americans.

Kicker Matthew Cook earned a spot in the preseason fifth on the U.S. first team.

Linebacker Spencer Cuvelier was named to his third-team preseason All-American, earning second-team honors by Stats Perform and third-team by Phil Steele. Cuvelier was named to the HERO Sports Second Team Defense and is currently on Buck Buchanan’s watch list.

Benny Sapp III earned his third All-American honor by being named to the second team. He was also named to the Phile Steele All-American Team (Fourth Team Defensive) and Second Team Preseason Defense for the Bluebloods.

Bryce Flater, a linebacker, earned his first-team All-American honor with third-team All-Defensive honors. Flater also earned a spot on Phil Steele’s all-MVFC as a Second Team Defensive Player.
