1. To say that Mets closer Edwin Díaz is having a dominant season would be an understatement. Díaz has 26 saves, a 1.39 ERA and has struck out 91 batters in just 45.1 innings. The Mets are 61–0 after eight innings this season, thanks in large part to Díaz.

More impressive than Díaz’s performance on the field, however, is his transition from the bullpen to the mound.

Díaz’s sprint across Citi Field while playing Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet’s “Narco” has been a big hit with Mets fans all season, but in the last 24 hours it’s gotten a lot of attention, according to SNY, the local station that broadcasts the games in New York. , filmed (and released) a cinematic production of the All-Star entry.

The video became a hit on social media, with many people commenting on how much they loved it.

Credit SNY for a few things here. The network is making a big deal out of Díaz’s entrance and getting creative with how it portrays it. SNY is also delaying airing commercials these days so they can air Díaz’s entrances.

For the most part, networks don’t care about giving fans what they want, so it’s nice to see SNY giving viewers a treat they’re clearly enjoying.
