Prior to the collapse, the sports complex offered two floors of sports and non-athletic pursuits; one side of the building included a turf field with ceilings that extended 46 feet high. The other side had the physical therapy clinic and four basketball courts, which doubled as volleyball or basketball courts.
The roof collapsed over the basketball courts on the second floor, banning the entire building while contractors, including Kahle Builders, the company of co-owner Aaron Kahle, appraise the building to find what went wrong.

After Kahle Builders creates a plan for reconstruction, the company will have to send the plan to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. OAW Director of Public Affairs Jennifer Garrett said no plans had been submitted until July 11th.
