The Future Science Award is a privately funded science award started by a group of scientists and entrepreneurs. The Future Science Award aims to celebrate the achievements of scientists who have made extraordinary scientific contributions. Graduates will be awarded for achievements that:

they have made a significant global impact;

be original with long-term importance, or have passed the test of time; and

be completed primarily in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan. There are no restrictions on the nationalities of graduates.

Currently, there are three major categories, namely the “Life Science Prize”, the “Physical Science Prize” and the “Mathematics and Computer Science Prize”, with each prize worth 1 million US dollars respectively.
