The attack on the Trump house causes outrage among supporters. The search for the home of former US President Donald Trump in Florida has electrified both his supporters and opponents. Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Justice says little about a raid in which FBI agents reportedly confiscated several boxes of documents.
Heated rhetoric, threats increase
The nation is flooded with furious speculation from all strata of American society, from anonymous accounts to high-ranking members of Congress. See the article : Following President Biden’s Executive Order to protect access to reproductive health care.
Why did FBI agents search the ex-president’s home for classified documents? How sensitive were they? Did Trump show them to someone? Have any non-Americans seen them? Does this involve a wider investigation? Is it slander to stop Trump from running for president again?
Is it about incorrect document handling? Authorities are not talking, and Trump has refused to issue a search warrant that could provide clues.

Republican politicians have largely closed their ranks around the former president and have threatened everything from withdrawing FBI funds to griming law enforcement at committee hearings.
They compared the raid to the tactics of a foreign dictatorship. This may interest you : US Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell appoints executive team. They collected money from it, soliciting donations to fight the alleged persecution.
They channeled the outrage of grassroots supporters who idolize Trump, like one of the Mar-a-Lago protesters who told Reuters on Tuesday: “You feel you can be in Venezuela, China, Russia, and even Nazi Germany.”
Online chatter scientists say the intensity of anger has increased to levels that are similar to the environment before January 6, 2021, when it stormed the Capitol.
It includes a conversation about the murder of the judge who reportedly approved the search warrant, along with the heads of the FBI and the attorney general.
Online calls for civil war
Alex Friedfeld, an investigator with the Anti-Defamation League, said ordinary citizens are hearing from conservative opinion leaders that America is plunging into tyranny and will then be tracked down. See the article : Uncertainty in real estate is inevitable. Use these tips to keep going.
The answer, he said, is an immediate surge in brutal rhetoric across multiple online platforms, especially smaller sites without content moderator teams.
“That’s a large number of people openly fantasizing about using violence to target their perceived enemies,” Friedfeld said in an interview.
“People say they’re fed up, it’s time for a civil war, that they have to fight now or they will live in tyranny.”
One difference from January 6, he said, is that there is no physical gathering point, no place for the crowd to gather right now.
That will change if Trump is ever charged.
A police lieutenant in one US city told CBC News that colleagues are already having informal discussions on how to secure the courthouse if a Trump case is pending there.
‘Lock and load’
Friedfeld said it was an obvious risk. He predicted that prosecutors would leak their personal data on the Internet and face a flood of threats.
“Everyone in the indictment will have to be protected,” he said. “Physical security will come first … There will be people advocating violence against people trying to accuse Trump.”

Another researcher, Daniel Jones, said the provocative rhetoric came from three groups.
He describes one of them as stage artists – media personalities who crave attention. This category includes prime-time Fox News slandering “FBI Biden.”
“We see things like” Lock and Load “. … “This is a civil war,” said Jones, lead investigator in the US Senate’s CIA torture report and researcher with the non-profit, non-party Advance Democracy group.
“[We see] direct threats against the judge [who reportedly signed the warrant] … [And things like that], ‘Attorney General Merrick Garland should be executed and murdered.”
Republican calls for defunding FBI
The third and final group he identifies, which he calls the most disappointing, are mainstream politicians who should know better.
Some Republicans echo Trump’s words that the police may have planted evidence in his home.
It’s not just Republican prime-time talking heads that are calling for the definition of the FBI. Even some members of Congress say so.
This includes Georgia-based Q-Anon representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who told One America News Network that she was delighted with how many of her colleagues in the law are on her side.
“I usually fight my Republican colleagues because I don’t think they are strong enough,” she said.
“But I hear things that I am so glad to finally hear coming out of their mouths. Because when we regain the majority and have control in the House of Representatives, we are following the Department of Justice; pursue the FBI. We will be in control of the budget that funds everyone’s program and everyone’s payroll checks. “
‘A federal judge authorized this search’
Republicans on the Capitol say outrage is not just about performativity, as a public declaration of allegiance to Trump to appease their grassroots.
They say they really believe that the authorities and the media are aggressively attacking conservatives, ignoring the offenses of Hunter Biden and Hillary Clinton.
The highest-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives had a message about what his party would do if he won a majority in this year’s midterm elections and won power over congressional committees.

Party leader Kevin McCarthy said in a statement that he would call Garland for committee hearings and demand that he retain all documents relating to the case.
Another Republican MP, Dan Crenshaw, told Fox News that his party will be looking at law enforcement activities.
“You’d better have your explanations ready,” he said. “Because you cannot arm our institutions for political gain. This is the destruction of democracy. “
The outbreak of indignation highlighted the extent to which Republicans are now truly, deeply, Donald Trump’s party.
Meanwhile, Attorney General George W. Bush has offered his slim plea that people trust law enforcement.
“A federal judge authorized this search,” Gonzales told CBC. – It means something as far as I’m concerned.
