LAS CRUCES – Hold a hangout downtown Tuesday, June 21 for free music performances as part of the Make Music Day celebration. The performances start at 14.00. and ends at and will include a number of local artists taking the stage to celebrate.
The performance at the Rio Grande Theater, 211 N. Main St., starts at with Vince Galban, a solo guitar act performing rock covers and original music. After the solo act, Cuerdas, a trio of two classical guitars and a cello at 15.15.
Zeta and The Songbirds perform at. Closing of the event will be the Border Jazz Quartet Open Jam Session, starting at. Performances at Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main St., start at 5:30 p.m. with The Men from Mars, a local indie garage band performing original music. After the opening act, there will be Mosaic at 18.30. Returning to the stage for a personal performance, the Cosmic Unknown Band is at. 19.30. Closing of the event on the outdoor stage is Love and the Emotions at 8:45 p.m.
In addition to the concerts in downtown, Frank Lovato will provide a free guitar lesson at the A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven Center, 906 N Tornillo St., from 6 p.m. 13.30. to 15.30. Bring your guitars. Jamie O’Hara performs at the Doña Ana Arts Council Gallery, 250 W. Amador Ave., from 6 p.m. to 18.30.
