TOWN OF ULSTER – U.S. Senator Charles Schumer is inviting the president of Zinc8, a battery and energy storage technology company, to expand their operations at the former Tech City location in the town of Ulster.
Schumer said the property, now known as iPark 87, has all the right ingredients to become the home of their next big facility and said the $6 billion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act could help boost the company’s future in New York.
“Zinc8 is evaluating a potential manufacturing site in the northeastern US and is very impressed with the locations and associated facility in New York,” said Zinc8 President Ron MacDonald.
The plan to locate it at iPark 87 has the support of Ulster County and regional economic development officials.
