They will be in McCordsville, IN, 20 miles northeast of Indianapolis; Joliet, IL, 45 miles southeast of Chicago; Lancaster, Texas; and Greencastle, PA.
The new 1.1 million square foot facility is located at 3501 Brandon Road in Joliet and is set to open in the summer of 2022, creating more than 1,000 new jobs in Joliet County.
The executive center will implement state-of-the-art automation technology that gives Walmart + customers and members in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin access to the next- or two-day shipping of more products than ever before.
The new 2.2 million square foot facility is located at 5259 W 500 N, McCordsville, and is set to open in the spring of 2023, resulting in more than 1,000 new jobs in Hancock County.
The filling center will implement state-of-the-art automation technology that provides Walmart + customers and members in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio with one-day or two-day access to millions of products.
The new 1.5 million square foot facility is located at 1915 Ebberts Spring Court, Greencastle, and is set to open in 2024, bringing more than 1,000 new jobs to the south-central state of Pennsylvania.
The executive center will implement state-of-the-art automation technology that provides customers and members of Walmart + in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey to receive imports — or in the next two days — more products than ever before.
“Our new generation filling facility is the first of its kind at Walmart that will change the way we deliver orders to customers online,” said David Guggina, senior vice president, equipment, and innovation at Walmart. “Through the automated storage system and the five-step patent system, we will not only provide increased comfort to our partners but we will also double the storage capacity and double the number of customer orders we are able to execute in a single day. . “
Walmart partners are given a chance to start their first day. Associates may participate in Walmart’s Live Better U program, where they can earn a college degree in business, technology, supply chain management or more without the burden of debt, with Walmart providing 100% college tuition and books.
