DOVER, DE (July 1, 2022) – The Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) is pleased to be recognized by the Office of Disease Control and Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) in the The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is a Personal Health 2030 champion.
As the Healthy People 2030 Champion, DPH has expressed a commitment to helping achieve the Healthy 2030 vision of a society where everyone can achieve their full potential for health and well -being in the course of their lives.
The ODPHP represents the DPH as part of an expanding network of organizations working with it to improve health and well -being at local, state, and ethnic levels.
The goals of the national program are to:
“I am pleased that DPH is participating in the Healthy People 2030 program,” said DPH Director Dr. Karyl Rattay. “A good life starts with good health and that is what DPH strives to convey to all Delawares people through its programs and partnerships. DPH offers a number of free programs at low cost to reduce diseases such as diabetes, cancer and high blood pressure. Participating in this initiative will help us reach more people. ”
“ODPHP is pleased to recognize DPH for its work in supporting the Health 2030 vision,” said Rear Admiral Paul Reed, MD, ODPHP Director. “Only by working with partners across the country can we achieve the goals and objectives of Healthy People 2030.”
