Analysis of Google searches determines most popular July 4th foods across the U.S.

Holidays often hold deep meaning for those who celebrate them. This may interest you : These are the 9 new books you should read in July…except those days like National President’s Day or the like, which I’m sure does exist.

As important as the meaning of a holiday is the food present during its celebration. And on July 4, good propagation in the yard is essential.

Barbecue side dishes can vary widely from state to state. This is especially true in a new dataset collected by Time2play, which analyzed Google searches to determine the most popular 4th of July foods in each state.

Michigan’s most popular Fourth of July food

What do Michigan locals focus on the most when preparing to cook their summer vacation meals? On the same subject : Giving people cash is usually better than sending them food.

Baked beans were the most Googled 4th of July food in the state in the weeks leading up to the holiday, according to Time2play.

The Great Lakes state wasn’t alone in its presumed Fourth of July favorite: Seven other states also showed their preference for baked beans. These states include Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Washington State.

Most popular July 4th foods everywhere else

Baked beans were only the second most popular 4th of July food in the United States. On the same subject : Attention all fans of live music:.

Data reportedly revealed potato salad was the #1 4th of July food, with 10 states google it more than any other pre-holiday food, including: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Kentucky, Missouri, Pennsylvania , South Carolina, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Deviled eggs, macaroni salad, smoked brisket and grilled corn tied for the third most searched 4th of July food, each with five preference states.

Out of over 100 different types of 4th of July foods, Time2play found that 12 were the most popular in total. In addition to those already mentioned, other top choices in the US included: red, white, and blue fruit pizza; smoked ribs; Buffalo Chicken Dip; Coleslaw; roasted potatoes; and fried chicken.

Overall, cold salads – potatoes, macaroni and coleslaw – seemed to be the most popular 4th of July dishes in the United States.
