AUSTIN Governor Greg Abbott and the Governor’s Commission for Women announced in a press release on Monday the 2022 Women’s Property Business Series starting with four webinars weekly from 31 August to 21 September.
The webinars will include experts in the subject offering actionable advice to Texas business owners and women entrepreneurs on starting, growing and supporting a business.
“Texas is home to 1.25 million women business owners,” Abbott said in a statement. “I am especially proud to lead the nation for jobs created by Hispanic women, African American women, and veteran women business owners. Women who invest in themselves and in their ideas for the future of their families and their communities are critical to our economy. I look forward to continuing to work with all our small business entrepreneurs and business owners to make sure they have the knowledge and tools to succeed. Working together, we will continue to create even more new jobs in every region of this great state. “
Each of the weekly webinars, offered free of charge and in partnership with the Beacon State Fund, will take an in-depth look at important topics and resources available to women-owned small businesses and women entrepreneurs in Texas.
In addition, a personal event, the Governor’s Small Business Series – Honoring Women’s Property Business, will be co-hosted by the Governor’s Commission for Women, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism, and the Beacon State Fund on October 6 in South Padre Island.
The event will be an opportunity to network with other business owners and hear from experts who will share timely, relevant and actionable information on a large number of small business topics.
The Women’s Governor’s Commission will also host a women’s-owned small business pitch competition following webinars and the event in person, with selected recessionaries for each region of Texas.

Women-Owned Small Business Pitch Competition
The Governor’s Commission for Women, in partnership with the Beacon State Fund, will also host a women’s-owned small business pitch competition following the webinars and the event in person, with recessionaries selected for every region of Texas.
Women small business owners in Texas are invited to submit a pitch competition application outlining the challenges facing their business and the creative solutions, tactics and adjustments used to address these challenges. challenges.
