Meet and greets with artists, dance classes, evening concerts – the fourth annual Celebration of the Arts is set to unfold in Sheridan County with four days of dynamic events from August 25 – 28.

Each summer, local arts organizations come together to present this three-day festival, which celebrates the visual, literary and performing arts communities at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains.

This year, Art Alley, a street fair in Sheridan hosted by SAGE Community Arts on Thursday, will headline the festival; a concert by acclaimed singer-songwriter Lynda Kay at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center in Sheridan on Friday; the Bighorn Rendezvous Quickdraw at the Brinton Museum in Hornmore on Saturday morning; a performance by John Roberts y Pan Blanco at the Whitney Center for the Arts in Sheridan on Saturday evening; and the Ucross Arts Festival featuring a performance by Jalan Crossland, a reading by Brandon Hobson and an art giveaway in Ucross on Sunday.

Appearing on Sheridan Media‘s Public Pulse program, Ucross Communications & Special Events Manager Caitlin Addlesperger told the audience a little about Hobson.

In addition, during the four-day festival, the Celebration of the Arts offers pop-in and dance classes, art workshops and readings to the public, free and open to all.
