It’s a year of celebration at Walker’s Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) as we reach 35 years of service—as a cultural hub of the Walker’s Point neighborhood—and a strong advocate for underrepresented artists in Milwaukee. and after. With the many changes that can be seen in this neighborhood, one thing has not changed: WPCA’s long-standing commitment to equality in the arts and in the world at large drives everything we do. .

Being part of a community has a responsibility to develop and build on existing community assets. This approach not only informs our collaboration, developing our programs and many technical knowledge in the arts, it provides a foundation and ensures the youth and artists in this community.

The 10th Annual “Celebration of Us” Youth Art Exhibition runs through August 12, and art workshops by young artists during the 2022 Summer Art Camp include printmaking projects , painting, paper making, sculpture and media arts.
