Of all the streaming platforms, NetflixNFLX
is the most active. Week after week, month after month, the world’s most viral streaming service adds lots and lots of new movies to its digital collection.
Which makes choosing a movie… well. Hard.
Skyfall
Hope I can help. I went through all the new movies that are new to Netflix so far in August and picked out ten of my favorites. In this article, I will cover all of them.
Spider-Man 1/2/3
When James Bond’s (Daniel Craig) latest mission goes horribly wrong, it leads to a calamity of events: secret agents around the world are exposed and MI6 is attacked, forcing M (Judi Dench) to relocate the agency. With MI6 now under threat from within and without, M turns to the man she can trust: Bond. With only the help of a field agent (Naomie Harris), Bond ventures into the shadows and follows a trail to Silva (Javier Bardem), a man from M’s past who wants to settle an old situation.
Carter
All three of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies are on Netflix this month. My personal favorite is Spider-Man 2. When a failed nuclear fusion test results in an explosion that kills his wife, Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) is transformed into Dr. See the article : Le Tour de Noir and Black Business Expo will return. Octavus, a cyborg with deadly metal tentacles. Doc Ock blames Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) for the accident and seeks revenge. Meanwhile, Spidey’s alter ego Peter Parker faces declining powers and self-doubt. Complicating matters is his best friend’s (James Franco) hatred of Spider-Man and the unexpected engagement of his true love (Kirsten Dunst) to another man.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
A man wakes up missing memories. See the article : Bambee is bringing HR to small businesses everywhere. Guided by the mysterious voice of a device in his ear, he embarks on a hostage rescue mission fraught with danger.
Bridget Jones’s Diary/Baby
Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) has an uncanny knack for cutting and escaping the clock. Ferris plans to go out one last time before graduation, calls in sick, “borrows” a Ferrari and sets off on a one-day road trip through the streets of Chicago. On the same subject : The 10 best video games in all black and white. High school principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones) is on Ferris’ trail, determined to catch him in the act.
8 Mile
There are two Bridget Jones movies on Netflix. They’re all great, but the third one (Bridget Jones’s Baby) might be my favorite. A breakup with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) leaves Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) over 40 and single again. Feeling that he has everything under control, Jones decides to focus on his career as a top news producer. Suddenly, her love life comes back from the dead when she meets a dashing and handsome American named Jack (Patrick Dempsey). Things can’t get any better until Bridget discovers she’s pregnant. Now the bewildered mother-to-be has to figure out whether the proud papa is Mark or Jack.
Eyes Wide Shut
Detroiters know 8 Mile as the city’s border, border, border. It is also the psychological dividing line that separates Jimmy Smith Jr. (Eminem) from where and who he wants to be. A provocative fictional study of a critical week in Jimmy’s life.
Darlings
After Dr. Bill Hartford’s (Tom Cruise) wife Alice (Nicole Kidman) admits to having sexual fantasies about a man she meets, Bill becomes obsessed with intercourse. He discovers an underground sex group and attends one of their meetings – and quickly discovers that he’s hooked.
Men in Black 1/2/3
Badru hopes her volatile husband will reform when he stops drinking. But when his rage goes too far, she and her mother bravely, if clumsily, seek revenge.
Miss Congeniality
Men in Black 3 has been very popular on Netflix this month, but the original can’t be beat. They are the best kept secret in the universe. Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) and Jay (Will Smith) are highly funded, but the men in black work for an unofficial government agency, providing immigration services and regulating everything alien on Earth. Investigating a series of unrecorded close encounters, MIB agents uncover a deadly plot by an intergalactic terrorist who plans to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies, now based in New York.
Space Jam (1996)
When a terrorist threatens to bomb the Miss USA pageant, the FBI rushes in to find a female agent to go undercover as a contestant. Unfortunately, Gracie is the only female FBI agent who manages to “look the part” despite her complete lack of sophistication and femininity. She takes pride in being “one of the boys” and is horrified at the thought of becoming a girl.
Flight
Swackhammer (Danny DeVito), the evil alien theme park owner, needs a new attraction at Mount Moroni. When his gang of Nerdlucks head to Earth to kidnap Bugs Bunny (Billy West) and the Looney Tunes, Bugs challenges them to a basketball game to determine their fate. The aliens agree, but steal the powers of NBA basketball players, including Larry Bird and Charles Barkley, so Bugs gets help from superstar Michael Jordan.
