CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — If you can’t decide whether to spend the day soaking in nature in the woods or looking at an art gallery, the Geauga Park District invites you to do both from 10 a.m. to to 4 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 7) at The West Woods park, 9465 Kinsman Road.

Nature & Arts Fest offers exhibitions and events with interactive booths, hiking and live animals, while artists display and sell their nature-inspired artwork inside and outside the center’s building. natural.

Chardon Art Festival: And if you want to see even more art, the Chardon Square Association’s 41st annual festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 7) at Chardon Square.

Included are artists selling their paintings, stained glass, leather, fiber art, wood carvings, acrylic encaustic, pottery, photography, jewelry, stone pieces and more. About 100 artists are expected.

The CVLT production is directed by Pamela LaForce, with musical direction by David Coxe, choreography by Jen Justice and costumes by Jackie Kruyne.

Sunflower Festival: Pick your own sunflowers, pet donkeys, play yard games and shop among local artisans and collectors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug 13 and 14 at 18266 Thorpe Road in downtown Auburn.

This place is a farm owned by five generations of the Ianiro family, who produce maple syrup and use ancient tools to create effective paintings.

Want to see her makeup? The Valley Art Center is hosting a one-night-only viewing of three of Salvador Dali’s original paintings, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (Aug. 5).

Art consultant and historian Casey Monda will give a talk on the history of surrealism in art and discuss collecting and preserving paintings and works on paper.

Live music will be provided by a jazz band featuring Akron native Dan Wilson.
