Mayor Nirenberg shares opportunity in social media post
SAN ANTONIO — The City of San Antonio Department of Arts and Culture is asking the public for their opinion on the placement of public art throughout the city. On the same subject : The best of times, the worst of times … It’s science in the Covid era.
Mayor Ron Nirenberg shared the opportunity to participate in the project on social media on Saturday.
“Public art is ingrained in San Antonio’s DNA and it’s clear to see how enriching our communities are as a result,” said Nirenberg. “San Antonians now have an opportunity to work with the Department of Arts & culture and share where they would like to see public art projects installed.”
The project is linked to the 2022 to 2027 bond.
City officials will host in-person and virtual meetings Tuesday through September to discuss the art additions.
