SAN ANTONIO (July 28, 2022) – The City of San Antonio Department of Art & Culture wants to hear from residents about where they would like to see Public Art projects installed in each Council District as part of the 2022 – 2027 Bond. The Art Department andamp; Culture will host a series of community engagements, along with a SASpeakUp survey, to help residents provide feedback.

During the May 2022 election, voters approved all six proposals in the $1.2 billion 2022 – 2027 municipal bond, which includes 183 capital improvement projects and record high funding for public art. The City of San Antonio’s Public Art Program relies heavily on community engagement and feedback to shape what public art looks like in San Antonio. The Department of Art & Culture’s community engagement series allows residents to share their voices and support the placement of public art for all. These community engagement efforts will help determine public art locations, project types, themes and more.
