Letterfounder Zine will host “No Words,” a visual multimedia art event featuring Tyler Jackson (aka DJ GRITZ) spinning downtempo beats and Jessy Kendall performing ambient vocal experiments from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29, as part of the LA Arts Artwalk at Co-Lab Create in Lewiston. Food will be provided by Mother India and Orchid.
In-depth performances will be accompanied by projected slideshows. The purpose of the optical musical spectacle is to shed light on the meaning of words and how spelling relates to spells of arcane intent. It is a pop visual representation of language and is a friend of music without words and behavior in the environment.
The zine, a black-and-white literary and art zine distributed since 2004 and available for free in Lewiston, Portland, and around the world, features themes of language and social behavior from around the world.
